Welcome to Petit Sunshine Kitten!

I'm Veronica, but you can call me Vero, Katy, or Anne. I'm thrilled to welcome you to the blog. At 23, I love writing and inspiring others with my art, helping people achieve their best selves through self-care and organization, and sharing the love for life's little joys with those who also strive to appreciate them every day.

That's why I created this blog: to share tips and resources that help you become your best self, to be that girl or that boy in a realistic and efficient way. In other words, to be who you want to be and shine in all your splendor, without losing what makes you unique and authentic.

What is Petit Sunshine Kitten about?

Okay, everything sounds great so far. But what specifically will we talk about on the blog? I've divided the entries into six key categories:

1. Self-care and Wellness.

2. Fashion and Beauty.

3. Studies and Learning.

4. Productivity and Organization.

5. Career and Finances.

6. Creativity and Art.

Each category will include tips, advice, and resources to help you in various aspects of your life. For example, in Self-care and Wellness, I'll talk about strategies for daily mental health care. In Productivity and Organization, I'll address digital detox. And in Studies and Learning, I'll teach you how to create an ideal study space: distraction-free, comfortable, and helping you combat boredom during your sessions.

Additionally, I created an extra category called Vero's space, my personal corner to share experiences, anecdotes, projects, passions, and what inspires me. I want to entertain you and, perhaps, inspire you with my experiences and my art—or make you laugh out loud with my terrible good luck—.

The dawn of PSK

"Well, Vero, you've told me what your blog is about. But where did the idea come from and why did you do it?" Excellent question. Would you believe me if I told you that since my early elementary school years, I wanted to inspire and help my classmates and teachers? Yes, for as long as I can remember, one of my greatest desires was to do whatever I could to help others and contribute to a better world.

Does it sound very "Judy from Zootopia"? Well, yes, that was and still is one of my big dreams. It was born from seeing my family striving to achieve something similar and it helped me become who I am now. In my childhood, I used my small skills to achieve it, like making little drawings and cards for those I thought would appreciate those details.

At around 13 years old, I discovered the world of digital blogs. I was fascinated by how bloggers inspired and helped many people with just one post. I thought: "This is what I want to do!" That's how the idea of creating a help blog was born, and my dream expanded towards writing, something I had enjoyed as a hobby since I learned to do it.

Unfortunately, back then I couldn't bring that dream to life for various reasons. I kept it as a future project, saving ideas and planning details for when I could make it a reality. Now, almost 10 years later, I've begun to materialize that dream with my social media and this blog. As I explained in my mini blog on X (formerly Twitter) about choosing the name, I decided to call it Petit Sunshine Kitten because of what these words mean and convey in relation to my goals, and because they connect with aspects of myself and what I express to the world. Although I had almost everything ready for a few months, I hadn't published it because I wanted to polish every detail (I'm a perfectionist, I admit it). Now I'm more satisfied with the result and decided to make it public, even though it's still not "perfect" as your feedback is missing. I sincerely hope you can leave your opinion in the comments to improve it and tell me what topics you'd like to see in future posts. After all, the goal of the blog is to create content by and for you, who are reading.

I long for this blog to be a safe space where we can grow together and reach the best version of ourselves, maintaining that bright spark that makes us unique, that which turns us into Petit Sunshine Kittens.
